The brief was to develop a logo that communicated the difference in quality, the refined character and the exceptional origin of the produce from Athens to the exotic Morocco.
We explored a variety of design options that drew on the brands respect for heritage. Crucial to the creative design was the flexibility of the design application. The logo had to be adjustable to suit coffee cups, deli sheets, bags, gift boxes, aprons, menus and wrap bags.
As the design process developed we explored how the design could reflect the origin, quality and value of the produce. The final strategic direction considered each of these elements to create a logo that is modern yet classic with an artisan feel.
Bringing a new logo to life in store is a vital part of crafting the customer journey through brand recognition and salience.
Silver Palate Delicatessen’s existing interior incorporated burnt orange, royal blue, timber, glass, stone, basket weave and black board.
The in store environment then became a showcase for the new logo as it was used on all in store POP materials: coffee cups, deli sheets, bags, gift boxes, aprons, menus and wrap bags.
The logo became a hero piece for brand recognition, elevating the brand’s values and marrying the traditional rustic styling with the modern nature of the business.
